Love---The Second Time Around.

They say, love is sweeter the second time around. But what if you never got to have a second time with that person? Would you be brave enough to start another love with another person?

I think, the second time that you will fall in love with someone; it’s going to feel different. Well of course, because when you had your heart broken on your first, you learn things.

The first time was a series of firsts indeed. It felt almost like a dream. You never experienced how it feels like to be engulfed by love and so you accepted love with open arms, embraced the exhilarating feeling of being drowned by your emotions for the first time.

But unfortunately, things don’t go well and you find yourself alone when it fell apart. You change your view on things. When it fell apart and you were left with a broken heart, your perspective changes. You realize that not all sweet beginnings could have their happy endings, that people could be so cruel and break your heart; that not all promises can be fulfilled; that sometimes, words uttered during your early days as a couple could eventually stop meaning anything as feelings start to fade. And that, after a seemingly happily-ever-after story, your world is turned upside down; and so you shut your feelings down.

But no matter how much effort you put into shutting down your feelings, things go unplanned, and there’s this someone willing to exert their very best effort to take down your walls to start creating their love story with you. So after sometime, when you find yourself go into it again, the cycle of love that is, you’re going to keep in mind everything that you’ve learned. And so you remind yourself, “I’ll take another chance on this, but in which case, I would like some advance warning.”

The second time around, or maybe even your third or fourth one, it’s natural that you tend to compare it with your first love. At some point during the beginning of another love, you find yourself comparing teeny-tiny details like, “He/She never gave a comment about my eating habits, why does this one care so much?” or “His/Her eyes are the same as my ex’s eyes.”; the list could go on a long way, and you feel like you need a map to show how to go on with your feelings. That’s okay; you’re starting a new love with someone new and unfamiliar to you— so it’s just normal that you are skeptical and wary. You just have to ask your new love for directions, plus the learning you’ve had from your previous ones, you’ll be okay with that.

The second time around, you feel as if you don’t know where to start and how you’ll go with your feelings. You find yourself asking, “How do you I do this again?”  It’s going to be scary at first, but you’ll realize, falling in love is just like riding a bike and getting bruised for the first time, you never really forget.

And let me tell you, the second time is not the first time, so no matter how stuck you may have been on your first, you have to let go of those feelings so that you can experience another; because you can never really fall in love for the second, third or fourth time with another person if you’re still stuck on your feelings with your first.  The first time will always have that special place in your heart; it’s a magical gift of life that you can never reclaim, but the best part of that first love is that you learned.

No love story is the same as the first, second or third one. Because love is like taking a leap of faith; a gamble with the unknown, and you can never know what will happen with any relationship you currently have at the moment. But I guess, anything can last as long as both of you will exert your very best efforts to make it work. Feelings don’t fade. You may say that you don’t love him/her anymore, but deep inside you, you know for a fact that the feelings will always be there, and that you will always care.

I wonder which part of the phrase, “It’s over.”, that you don’tunderstand..

image

Your feelings are long overdue.
True. There isn’t a set amount of time that it takes to get over someone. But if you try harder, you know you can. It’s tough, but it’s something that you have to do, for your own sake.

Because sometimes, you are too caught up in the past, wishing that there might be a second chance lurking around the corner that you can grab hold of, that you forget that everything’s not the same anymore between the two of you. And you can’t do anything but to just  accept the fact and let the other person live their life, without you in the picture. Yes, the two of you may talk, may hang-out, may share stories again, may act as if nothing happened, but I hope you bear in mind that it has a limit now. That you can’t just act like the old girlfriend/boyfriend you used to be.
People tend to linger back and reminisce in the past, thinking that by doing so could actually mean they can get another chance for their love story because the first time wasn’t as great as it should have been, that they can get another chance to correct their mistakes and shortcomings to prove to the person that he/she is worth taking the second chance for, but rarely, this works out. Yes, indeed, you can get a second shot at things, but I guess, in any relationship, once a damage has been done, it is done.

Falling in love is not always a happily-ever-after story, sometimes, its-just-once-upon-a-story…

Dear Future Boyfriend,
I know my voice is not that great. But hey, I could sing you to sleep. I’d gladly volunteer anytime. Because for you, the try is very much worth it. :>

No Strings Attached. ♥

Recently watched No Strings Attached and here are my favorite lines/scenes/quotes from the movie. :D

When Emma was leaving Adam’s house..
image
Adam: Hey, you know this is never gonna work.
Emma: Why not?
Adam: Because clearly you’re gonna fall in love with me.
Emma: Oh, really? Well, then we just do this until one of us feels something more and then we stop.
Adam: Well it won’t be me.
Emma: It won’t be me.
[he kisses her]
Adam: Good luck with that.
When Emma was having her monthly period, and Adam suddenly went to their crib to deliver some cupcakes and a surprise CD. :)
Adam: Oh, I understand what’s going on. You’re all on the same cycle. This is very exciting. Your uterine walls will be shedding for the next three to five days.
Shira: Nice memorization. Did you Google that?
Adam: I may have. Because you’re women. And I think that’s a beautiful thing.
Patrice: It’s like a crime scene in my pants.
 No Strings Attached Quotes

[Adam takes out a CD and presents it to Emma and her friends.]
Adam: Oh, I also made you this.
[hands the CD to Emma]
Adam: To help soothe your womb.
[reading the CD songs]
Patrice: It’s a mix! “Even Flow." “Red, Red Wine."
Shira: "Sunday Bloody Sunday"?
Emma: Adam, did you make me a period mix?
Guy: That’s so romantic!
Patrice: Frank Sinatra, “I’ve Got the World on a String"!
Emma: Oh!
Adam: That’s a classic.

SWEEEEEEET! <3 ッ

On the evening of Adam’s birthday, his dad invited him to dinner—-to think that dad is having an affair with his ex-girlfriend. >_< Emma goes with him.
No Strings Attached Quotes
Emma: This isn’t really my place. I mean, who am I? I just have sex with your son sometimes. But…
Adam: Yes, she does.
Emma: But, there is really no reason for you to bring a child into this world since you’re acting like children already.
Vanessa: That’s really mean.
Emma: Yeah, I’m mean. But you’re fucking crazy. Cause given the choice between Adam and his dad, given the choice between Adam and anyone really, I’d choose Adam, everytime.
[to Adam]
Emma: Do you wanna get out of here?
Adam: Yeah. Fuck this.
[they get up to leave]
Emma: Oh, by the way. It’s the best sex of my life.
[yells to Alvin and Vanessa as they walk out of the restaurant]
Emma: Great Scott! ッ

HAHA. Thiiiiiiziis one of my favorite scenes. :))

♥
Adam: Go on a date with me.
Emma: [laughing] You’re heavily sedated.
Adam: Come on, it’s…it’s one date. Just do it.
Emma: Why? So I can wear make up and act perfect all night?
Adam: Yeah. I’ll pick you up and we can talk about our favorite books and our favorite TV shows and I’ll pay for everything. And you can reward me with an over the jeans cock rub. Like a real date.
Emma: Is that what you really want?
Adam: This Friday.
Emma: This Friday is Valentine’s Day.
Adam: Yeah.
Emma: No.
Adam: Go big or go home. They’ll be hearts and maybe some flowers. One date.
Emma: Fine.
Adam: What?
Emma: I’ll go on a date with you.

image
Emma: I made you a Valentine’s Day card.
Adam: What?
[takes the card looks at it and laughs]
Adam: It’s perfect. Will you read it for me? Is that weird?
[Emma takes the card back and reads it]
Emma: You give me premature ventricular contractions.
Adam: I’m assuming that’s a good thing. ♥
Emma: You make my heart skip a beat.
Adam: Aww.
Emma: Don’t make fun of me!
Adam: Wow!

[during their Valentine’s Day date]
Emma: I don’t get my own milkshake?
Adam: No, it’s one milkshake, two straws. That’s what makes it so special.
Emma: But I’m so hungry
Adam: We have dinner, later. Didn’t you read the itinerary?
Emma: You’re gonna get more shake you have a bigger mouth.
Adam: You have a pretty big mouth.
[Adam tries to show his feelings during their date]
Emma: I can’t do this. Could you please take me back to work?
Adam: No. No. That’s not the deal. The deal is that we’re gonna walk around and we’re gonna look at the twinkly lights and then…
Emma: Why are you messing everything up?
Adam: It’s what people do. I mean, they buy each other flowers and they go to museums and they don’t…
Emma: You know me. This stuff freaks me out. It’s fake. What’s wrong with what we were doing? It’s working, we don’t have to fight, we don’t have to…
Adam: Maybe I wanna fight.
Emma: Yeah, well. I don’t!
Adam: What are you gonna do? You’re just…you’re never gonna feel anything? How are you gonna do that?
Emma: I don’t know. I’ll figure it out.
Adam: You’re so messed up.
Emma: Yeah? I don’t need you to take care of me, I take care of myself. That’s what I do.

Emma: Why don’t you go find some other girl who’s not gonna hurt you?
Adam: Because I love you.
[suddenly Emma starts hitting and pushing him]
Adam: It’s obvious. I completely love you! There!
[she continues to hit and push him]
Adam: Oh! You’re such a wimp!
Emma: I am not a wimp.
Adam: Well then be with me!
[she continues to push and hit him]
Adam: Okay, you’re gonna fight me. Is that…you’re gonna fight. You can’t fight me, you’re miniature. You’re like a girl Rick Moranis. You fight like a hamster.
♥
Emma: I can’t stop thinking about him.
Katie: Who? Adam?
Emma: Yeah. I know it’s over and I’m looking, it’s just no one is as…
Katie: Tall.
Emma: He’s so tall.
Katie: So tall.
Emma: And he’s so like…
Katie: Happy.
Emma: Annoyingly happy all the time. But he has this…he has the best heart.
♥
[Emma calls Adam whilst he’s at his show opening party]
Adam: Hello?
Emma: Hi. It’s Emma Kurtzman from Camp Weehawken.
Adam: Yes. What is it?
Emma: So my sister’s getting married in Santa Barbara tomorrow and uh…I don’t know. I heard your show was tonight. Uh…congratulations.
Adam: Thank you.
Emma: I know this is random. I just, um…I miss you. I miss you so much.
Adam: Okay. I don’t know what to say. You’re…you’re calling me because you’re at your sister’s wedding and she looks happy and everyone is happy and you’re not.
Emma: I thought…I don’t know what I thought. I just…I…I guess I wanted to hear your voice. I mean, I know we broke up but…
Adam: Emma. We didn’t break up. We never started. I gotta go um…I’m still at work, so. Uh…have fun at the wedding and tell your sister congratulations. Bye.
[he hangs up]
Emma: Oh, fuck!
[Emma looks at Katie]
Emma: I have to…
Katie: Go.
Emma: Now!

[Adam call Emma as he’s leaving the hospital after seeing his dad]

Adam: Hey, you can’t call me and tell me that you miss me. I don’t wanna have that conversation on the phone. So you can’t text me and you can’t e-mail me and you can’t write on my wall. Like, if you really miss me, you need to grow up and get in your car and come and see me.
[Emma get out of her car which is parked outside the hospital]
Emma: I’m here.
Adam: How…how did you know that…?
Emma: Shira texted me about your dad, so I came here.
♥
Emma: I know I just can’t call you.
Adam: No, you can’t.
Emma: I know. I hurt you, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I wasted so much time pretending I didn’t care. I guess I just didn’t wanna feel like this. It hurts.
[she starts crying]
Emma: But I love you. I’m totally completely and in love with you and I don’t care if you think it’s too late, I’m telling you anyway.
[Adam just stares at her]
Emma: Will you please say something?
Adam: Wait. You should know, if you come any closer, I’m not letting you go.
she takes a step closer and he suddenly grabs her and kisses her.

Emma: I love you.
Adam: That’s good.
[they kiss again]

♥
Emma: Wanna go with me to this stupid thing.
Adam: Your sister’s wedding thing?
[Emma nods her head]
Adam: And how long do we have to be there?
Emma: A couple of hours. What do you wanna do?
Adam: Something crazy.
♥

[as they are eating a large breakfast at a diner]
Adam: Wow! Now I know why you never wanna have breakfast with me.
Emma: What?
Adam: You eat like a baby dinosaur. You don’t even chew.
Emma: You think you can get used to it?
Adam: Yeah, I think so.
Emma: Good. I was hoping we could do this a lot more.
Adam: Really?
Emma: Mmhmm.
Adam: You know, I was thinking we’re gonna have to come up with some new rules. I’d like to start calling you ‘honey’ and ‘babe’.
Emma: I don’t know about ‘babe’.
Adam: No?
Emma: Hmm.
Adam: Snuggling?
Emma: Oh, yeah. I think we’ll just hang in.
Adam: Wow! This is all moving so fast.
Emma: Also, I…I’d like to leave the door open when I pee.
Adam: I think, no.
Emma: I think I’m gonna do it all the time. It’s gonna get weird.

♥
[last lines before credits; as they arrive just in time for Katie’s wedding]
Emma: So what happens now?
[he takes hold of her hand]

SOMETIMES, A FLING CAN LEAD TO THE REAL THING. ♥  :)

Everyone wants to find that someone…

Everyone wants to find that someone…
  • someone who will prove to you that not all person are like the ones you’ve met on the past
  • who will stay
  • who will take you seriously
  • someone who will never leave you hanging
  • someone who will appreciate you
Tumblr_lzt5bkubyo1qcqbdbo1_500_large
You know what? At some point in your life, you’ve probably met THAT someone, who’s willing to be the person you mentioned above-- but you probably haven’t noticed. Why? Because you’re too busy trying to get the attention of another person. Because, admit it or not, even from the start, you already made an ideal figure as to what qualities your special someone would have, that’s why even if there’s someone out there doing his/her best to try to let you notice, you wouldn’t even notice their feelings. And it all goes down to this single line, “We accept the love we think we deserve.”

That’s what usually happens, right? Think of it this way, somebody likes you but you don’t feel the same way for that person, nothing feels right and you just can’t find within yourself the courage to accept the love that person is offering you because a tiny part in your mind tells you that you deserve another. You think you deserve the love of someone else, most probably the one you like, right? That’s why you ignore him/her. Whatever effort he/she exerts, you don’t notice, or maybe you’ve noticed, but you were busy trying to get the attention of another person that’s why you were not moved by his/her gestures. But don’t you realize that what you are doing is just the same as to what he/she is doing? You try your hardest just to be noticed by the one you like/love. Because you think that it’s their love that you deserve. Sometimes we confuse love with being addicted to the exquisite pain of wanting someone so unattainable.
Tumblr_lr017xwner1qlk0l9o1_500_large

Don’t wait too long. Because waiting is never really an assurance. It’s only a chance..

Waiting is never an assurance as to whether you two are going to end up together. You think that by waiting, you actually get a bigger chance of ending up with him/her? Maybe yes. But for the most of it, waiting only means that you are being given the chance to wait for that person to realize whether or not he/she would learn to feel the same way as you feel for them.  If you always wait, you might end up alone, waiting for that someone who won’t even notice you, when in fact, you can create a happy ending and be with that person who actually cares.

DAY 1: FIVE WAYS TO WIN YOUR HEART

FIVE WAYS TO WIN MY HEART:
  • Prove to me that you’re not just any other guy.
  • Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Simple as that.
  • You don’t have to pretend to be the best at anything for me to like you as a person; being yourself would do. Just show me who you really are.
  • Someone who remembers even the tiniest details.
  • Someone who would exert effort in getting to know my family and my friends. :)

Second chances never gets old, do they?

Live the Life you Love

Second chances are a way to give your best shot to do what is right. "Always believe that you’ll end up where you are supposed to be." :)

Sometimes, not everything goes well on a first case basis; experiments fail many times before it becomes a success; people get disappointed when something doesn't always go the way they planned it.
Just like in relationships, sometimes, they fail not because of external factors but because of you not being ready YET for the commitment. I mean, if you’re not yet ready but you commit yourself in a relationship—-the timing is off and then everything goes wrong. Small arguments become major fights. A single mis-communication can ruin it. Deal-breakers become big consequences that can turn into loopholes in your relationship.

What’s worse? It sometimes turn into actual break-ups between couples.

As you go on with life, you’ll take note of a lot of people, people who would make up and be part of the reason why you are what you are right now. People with whom you’d share memories with, people who made an impression to you, who touched your life, whose lives you’ve touched and people with whom you’d shared something special with.

That’s pretty normal. In this world, it’s impossible not to meet people as we go on with our lives.

And then you’re ready. Ready for that relationship. Who is the first person that comes to your mind? I guess, the person that would first enter your mind is the one that got away. Yep. Just like that famous song from Katie Perry with the same title. But, really, who is the ONE THAT GOT AWAY?

They’re the very first person who you’ll think about because you’ll wonder, “What if they were here with me now?" You’ll ask yourself, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?"  THAT’S WHO “THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY" IS.

The biggest “What if?" you’ll have in your life.
What do you do if it’s not yet too late? What can you do? WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Simple…

If you really loved that person and would not want to lose him/her in your life, you’d do something. You’d do anything just to have that second chance. That second chance where you can prove that true love do exists and can exist—-if you’ll exert effort for it.
Find Him. Find Her.

Because the very existence of a “one that got away" means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one?

Look here.
Second chances—If you’re given a second chance to do what’s right and fix things over and you think that the person is WORTH THE FIGHT, you should grab it.
Remember, not everyone gets lucky enough to have their own shot at second chance, right? :)

Lady D.
Maybe, you’ll be surprised. You might also be that person’s “THE ONE THAT ALMOST GOT AWAY". :)

FLINGS OR COMMITTMENT. Which side are you in?

Why do flings seem to be a convenient choice rather than committing to an actual committment of being in a relationship?  As I see it nowadays, teenagers are so fond of having these so-called flings and pseudo-relationships through texts, chat, internet and e-mail-- these days, they aren't as particular about the technicalities and formalities of having a relationship as they should be. I know I should mind my own business but then, it just occured to me as a thought, why do some people choose flings over a relationship these days? So, being me, I grabed a pen and paper and started scribbling my thoughts, I don't mean anything bad about flings, I just want to express that, if we could have the chance to choose between the two, its better to choose the more stable one, relationship.

So, back to the question I have,   about why is it more convenient to choose flings nowadays,
I guess, a vast range of excuses and explanations may arise:

  1. Maybe you felt something for the other person too, but you didn't want to acknowledge the feeling. YET.
  2. Maybe you didn't want it to be just you and him, because you want to explore your other options too.
  3. Maybe, you're afraid that nobody will ever stick around for as long as we want them to.

There are strings of maybes that you can enter here, but I guess choosing flings over committment is more convenient for some.

No deals. No commitment. No exclusivity.
With flings, you can enjoy the feeling of a pseudo-relationship without the worry of being committed.
Teen Facts | via Tumblr

BUT. There is always a big BUT. There is one thing lacking : a sense of security with THAT SOMEONE YOU LIKE.
It can end anytime.

For me, it all goes down to that someone being afraid of taking a risk, because  if you truly want it to, you could turn the emotions into actual decisions. You can either choose between having a real committment on a relationship or choose to have endless flings-- devoid of any real meaning of relationships.
For you she was a chapter | via Tumblr
Because there is always a choice. It's only up to you whether you choose to take an active risk and try or leave it all to fate.
The bottom line here that I want to tell is that, I don't mean any bad thing about flings, all I'm saying, Sometimes, a fling can lead to the real thing. You just have to make a choice and take the chance. Because you may never know how absolutely perfect something could turn out to be if you wouldn't try.  :)

So, committment or flings? We always have a choice. I'd say, for the future, I'd still pick committment, because WITH THE RIGHT PERSON, EXCLUSIVITY MAY NOT BE SUCH A BAD THING. :)

A bond of trust

Lovepostscript.:)

Enamorados

Somehow, somewhere, in this crazy world, you'll find something or someone with whom you'll always share something special with. It could be a friend, a confidante, an ex-lover, a lover, a bestfriend, a long-time friend or even someone you consider as the one that got away.  Say, once you'vee met them, will always have, and will always occupy a small place in your heart and in your life. Maybe because they made a change in your life; made you feel special and in a unique in a way that no one ever did before' or maybe they made you a far more better person than you once were, molded you into what you are now.

There's no telling on HOW, WHEN, or WHERE you'll meet that person, but DEFINITELY, you will meet him/her.  Maybe inside the bus, in a library, on a convenience store, at school, in thee street, at the mall, surely YOU WOULD. :)

And one thing is for sure, like an indelible ink on a shirt, or like the saying, "The wind that passed a certain place will never pass the same route and trail ever again," you will realize that once you knew and met that someone, your life will never be the same again. :)

The Moving On-and-Letting-Go Syndrome.

quotes | Tumblr

Have you ever been in love yet ended up alone? loved a person a little more than the person could love you back? been in a one-sided love affair aka unrequited love? Been in a pseudo-relationship that you thought had the possibility of being a real one? Or simply saying, have you ever loved someone so much that it seems the world came crashing down when the once happily-ever-after became the happily-never-after?

You try to turn back the pages, look for second chances, going to familiar places that were once memorable to both of you, read saved old messages from that person, go over the photos that you always keep, have a re-run of moments you wish you could have back, it seems so endless, the what-ifs and could have beens  keep flashing and running on your mind, but in the end, nothing changes. you thought that it was never going to end but when it did, its shattering.

Still, you won't give up. thinking that there can always be that second chances that you could hold on to. you try to look for book 2. You tend to get stuck with the past and never seem to get over it, no matter how hard you try. seeking for a sequel for the nth time, wishing and hoping that maybe, just maybe, things can still be fixed and the relationship might still work. No matter how you think its over, you just CAN'T get over the fact that it is INDEED over. Reality and your mind tells you to let go and move on but your heart tells you otherwise.
Why? Why can't some people get over and move on easy? Why is letting go and moving on just about one of the hardest things in life? People always has the tendency to linger back and reminisce on it, thinking that by doing so could actually mean they can get another chance to correct their mistakes and shortcomings, which is quite impossible.

It is such a cliche.

When you come to the verge of the letting go phase, you find yourself hesitating whether to do it or not, a driving force keeps you away from stepping into the latitude of acceptance, unabling you to move on to the next chapter. its as if you're standing at the edge of a cliff, holding on to nothing, something's holding you back, the memories perhaps, or the regret to put what both of you had to waste. should you give it up? you know in your mind that you should but your heart don't know where to start.or how.

Questions flood your thoughts as you try to seek for answers, even questions that were never asked but were left hanging.

That's the conflict with the separation of the heart and the mind. you become torn between two powerful forces, so powerful that not even gravity could hold you back. if only these forces would agree would each other, such dilemma would not even exist.

But one day, as you'll look back, you'll realize that thanks to the experience you've had, you've become what you are now, a far more better individual than you once were, and what happened was just a great rehearsal for a subsequent relationship in the future.

When God knows we're ready and mature enough for the responsibility of a lasting relationship, He'll reveal the right person under the right circumstances----at the right time. ♥

Wait patiently, don't rush, but instead, grow and be steady, because when the time is right, you'll see that God will give us a love story far better than we could have ever imagined. :)
